UPCOMING EVENTS

The Hudson Valley Rodeo & Brett Young Concert

The 2nd annual Hudson Valley Rodeo, presented by the Amenia-Wassaic Community Organization and powered by the Silo Ridge Community Foundation, will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Keane Stud in Amenia, NY.  The rodeo will be topped off with an evening concert featuring award winning country music star Brett Young. All net proceeds from this community event will benefit the Amenia-Wassaic Community Organization and its programs.

The annual Rodeo, hosted in the picturesque area of northern Dutchess County, is a family friendly event featuring Mutton Bustin’, Barrel Racing, Roping, Bronc Riding, and Bull Riding. Some of the best cowboys from the east will compete against western cowboys in a nationwide competition of top hands. Doors open at noon and the rodeo begins at 3 pm.  There will be a variety of local food trucks and libations for the adults as well as local vendors. Pre-rodeo activities include rodeo clowns, stick horse rodeo competition for young kids,  barrel racing demonstrations, rodeo roping clinic, animal care conversations, face-painting, meet and greet photo opportunities with cowboys and cowgirls, and music from local country music artists.

After the conclusion of the rodeo, attendees will be admitted to the concert field where the concert portion of the evening begins at 7pm. Brett Young will take to  the stage around 8:15 pm. Young has captured the hearts of fans everywhere through his honest lyrics and West Coast-meets-Southern sound, aptly dubbed “Caliville” style. With an undeniable string of hits and two albums defined by a transcendent romantic spark, he has cemented his status as Country’s master over matters of the heart. The star broadened his emotional scope on WEEKENDS LOOK A LITTLE DIFFERENT THESE DAYS following his GOLD-certified sophomore effort TICKET TO L.A., which debuted atop the Billboard Country Albums chart. Young’s PLATINUM self-titled debut dominated the Top 20 on the Country Albums chart for 37 weeks and has contributed to 5.5 billion streams globally. He was named ASCAP’s 2018 Country Songwriter-Artist of the Year for his “melodic craftsmanship” (Billboard) and has also garnered nominations from ACM, Billboard, Teen Choice, CMT and CMA Awards. Racking seven consecutive No. 1 hits, Rolling Stone deemed Young “one of country’s most consistent radio stars.”

The Hudson Valley Rodeo is being produced by Leland McMillan of LKC Rodeo Productions in Huntley, MT and Woodstock-based Chet-5 Productions, Inc. Sponsors include the Silo Ridge Community Foundation, Stoneleaf Construction, Silo Ridge Field Club, Discovery Land Company, and Casamigos as well as over 20 local businesses.
